Webinar Series

PLAY THEMES VS PLAY BEHAVIORS: EXPLORING THEM INSIDE OUT

NOVEMBER 21ST, 2024

6:00PM - 8:00PM CST

Are you sitting in a play therapy session struggling to figure out what the child is trying to tell you? You are not alone.

Understanding what children are trying to communicate and then putting that into a format that insurances or employers want is difficult. Bianca will be going over play themes using play therapy cases and discussing how to differentiate play behaviors vs play themes.

Through this webinar, you will get a better understanding of how the child’s play behaviors on the outside exhibit their emotions on the inside.

**This Live Webinar is eligible for 2 noncontact APT CEs and 2 NBCC contact CEs.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  1. Identify the difference between play behaviors and play themes in play therapy with young children.
  2. List and Describe 8-10 possible play themes.
  3. Demonstrate skills to examine a play therapy video session identifying play themes.
